S.M.A.R.T. (Self-Monitoring, Analysis, and Reporting Technology) is primarily designed to gather essential information from the hard disk drive. This information includes operating time, occurrences of abnormal power-down, disk temperature, FLASH’s Bad block/erase count/program/erase fail, as well as the SSD’s lifespan, read and write volume, and other relevant data. All this critical information can be accessed and monitored through the implementation of S.M.A.R.T. technology.
