Write Protect

Write protection is a security measure implemented in Disk on Module (DOM) devices to protect data from unauthorized write operations, whether initiated by users or viruses. By enabling write protection, the DOM ensures that the data stored on it remains safe from any alterations or destruction that could occur due to accidental or malicious write actions. When the hard drive is in write protection mode, it prohibits partitioning and formatting operations, preventing any modifications to the existing data.

To deactivate the write protection, users need to switch the toggle switch on the DOM module to the unlock position while the power is off. This action grants write access to the DOM, allowing users to modify or add data as needed.
